Bonfiglioli Adds Two Frame Sizes to 300 Series Planetary Line.

Concord, ON—June 2003. The range of Bonfiglioli 300 Series planetary gear drives has increased by two sizes, designated 316 and 318, yielding a total of 16 sizes. The two new models are rated 1,194,750 and 2,212,500 in.-lb., respectively, and fill the gaps between sizes 315 and 317, as well as 317 and 319, creating a finer progression of torque capacity.

The increased product availability in the 885,000 to 3,097,500 in.-lb. range allows more precise specification and pricing for each application.

Superior shaft loading capacity for the 300 Series is assured through the use of heavy-duty tapered roller bearings. Torque density, another characteristic of the 300 Series, is maintained at the same favorable values.

Like other members of the 300 Series, the new models are of modular construction and can be configured for in-line or right-angle duty, with one to four reduction stages. Also available are foot-, flange- and shaft-mount configurations, including the keyless shrink disc fitting and numerous output shaft options: solid or hollow, parallel or splined.

Other options include IEC or NEMA motor adapters, besides the solid input shaft and the provision for most hydraulic motors to the SAE J744c standard.
